Dr. Marlene Strehler-Schaaf does research in the field of Political Communication and Journalism Studies. Her current projects focus on the dynamic relationships between social movements, protest movements, and news media and social media, the interactions between journalism and activism, and media-mediated citizenship norms. She also investigated media influences on decision-making processes of political and economic elites.
